went to guan du and dan shui today. had a long day! guan du is famous for its bridge - guan du qiao. very pretty place! and the weather was really fab, the shades in the sky were literally of a rainbow:) we went bird-watching too. very leisurely i must say. haha, something i can never do in singapore.

dan shui. its the north west part of taipei. and where you can sit on the ferries bounded for yu ren ma tou. we went to the night markets around that area too. distance would be happy to note that i found alot of his fave mua ji at the stalls. will bring back some when i visit again next week.

oh my fave lao jie cafe at dan shui will be relocated soon. sigh its such a cosy corner i hope ms li will keep the decor the same. took pics, load later.

binged on all the munchies again! i found more stalls with really yummy smelly beancurd at guan du. i say, all who will visit taipei should try the fried di gua (fried sweet potato), very crispy! and you know, they have our fried oyster omelette here too but they eat it with tomato sauce. still very yummy:)

and oh we sat at the edge of the river tonight too. the night sky is amazing in taipei!! they have a light at the top of the tall buildings just like in singapore, so you see a really clear outline of these buildings opposite from where you are at the river. the view is simply breath-taking.

then just before we headed back to the trains, we went to the parade square. there were a couple of aspiring singers performing singing the hits of singers with the likes of a-mei, li shengjie, basically their local singers. but it was still cool to see such an act. provides a platform for these aspiring singers to showcase their talent. but i wish they had been singing their own tracks instead.

yawns, very tired. we are going trekking at yang ming shan tomorrow. cant wait!
